The Kingdom and Mozambique sign a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the agricultural fields and joint rural development
This came in the presence of His Excellency the Mozambician President Philip Niisi on the sidelines of his official visit to the Kingdom, where the memorandum was signed by His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al -Fadhli, and His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development in the Republic of Mozambique, Mr. Silso Ismail Kohaia.
The memorandum includes cooperation in agricultural fields, rural development, especially with regard to agricultural industries, poultry production, livestock and irrigation, health and vegetable health measures, biotechnology, capacity building, as well as cooperation in agricultural and veterinary businesses, and enhancing agricultural investment in Mozambique.
According to the memorandum, the two parties agreed on the mechanism for implementing joint cooperation to achieve the desired goals of the memo, which includes the exchange of information and experiences between the authorities concerned with the agricultural sector in the two countries, the exchange of visits between experts and people with specialists, organizing conferences, seminars and work sessions, in addition to forming a specialized work team to prepare programs Executive to develop areas of joint cooperation, to hold their meetings alternately in both countries whenever the need arises.
It is noteworthy that during the last period, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has concluded and signed a number of notes of local and international understanding and cooperation; In order to enhance the protection and preservation of the environment, and to enhance the areas of joint cooperation in the environment, water and agriculture sectors and work to sustain it within the framework of the Kingdom's 2030 vision targets.
